Paradise 50, Eastland 7

The Paradise Panthers may not be going to the playoffs, but they ended their season with a spectacular 50-7 victory over the Eastland Mavericks at Panther Stadium Friday.

It was a great night for Nick Pike and Caleb Read, both of whom scored a pair of touchdowns for the Panthers. Pike posted the Panther's first score on a four-yard run halfway through the first quarter. He scored again in the third on a 34-yard run.

Read also posted six points for the Panthers in the third on a 20-yard touchdown run. He scored again with just over a minute left to play on a five-yard run.

Brolan Gentry, Hunter Watson and Jonathan Lee also scored touchdowns while Thad Limke added a field goal and five extra points. Quarterback P. J. Fuller completed 10 of 15 passes for 203 yards including the 75-yard touchdown pass to Lee.

Paradise ended the season with a 4-6 record and had a district record of 2-3.
